Professor Kulski was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel
On the eve of the Polish Army Day, professor Julian Eugeniusz Kulski was promoted to the military rank of lieutenant colonel (previously he had the rank of major). The distinction was awarded to him by the Minister of National Defense – Mariusz Błaszczak at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Warsaw. The minister thanked those, who were present for their persistent service to the motherland and emphasized the timelessness of the attitudes of the distinguished officers.
Professor Kulski was the only participant of the Warsaw Uprising to receive the award that day. Professional soldiers, soldiers-sportsmen and distinguished employees of the Ministry were among the awardees.
In his speech, Professor Kulski thanked for the received award and stressed the unique date of the event, which is inextricably linked with the Warsaw Uprising.
The professor also mentioned the figure of his father – the President of occupied Warsaw, the heroic employees of the Town Hall and all those people, who fought for free Warsaw.
