In Washington on December 15th, Catharine Yerkes Kulski passed away – the beloved wife and love of Julian Kulski’s life, our Founder

Catharine Yerkes Kulski, the love of Julian Kulski’s life, wife and beloved companion – passed away in Washington, D.C. on December 15.

Catharine Yerkes Kulski, born May 29, 1944, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Norton Yerkes, died on December 15, 2023 in Washington, DC. Catharine will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Julia Diaz, her grandsons, David and Julian and stepson Stefan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Julian Kulski.

Catharine attended the Potomac School, The Ethel Walker School, continuing her education at Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy.

Throughout her lifer, Catharine was known for her vivaciousness, rapier wit, and loyalty. She was a true force of nature, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love and dedication to her family were unparalleled, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. One of her greatest passions was being a tireless supporter of her late husband, Julian Kulski and the Kulski Foundation.

Catharine’s vibrant spirit and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother, doting grandmother, and a remarkable woman who lived life to the fullest.

A private memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Catharine’s life.
